Punching

High accuracy CNC punching is accomplished on our Strippit Turret Punch machines which have with a full CAD station, Computer Control and Lead Screw Tapping capabilities. 

Typical jobs run on this machine have 1000 - 4000 tapped holes per sheet with sheet sizes to 48"x120".  We regularly punch holes ranging from .031" to several feet in diameter in materials including Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Plastics, Formica and Titanium.

For Instance: 

  • Typical format for a metal plate with grid of holes, matrix of holes or array of holes.
  • The pattern can be set for 1” from center to center,25mm from center to center or as required by your application.
  • The material can be steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Thickness up to 1/4” in most materials.
  • Hole sizes can be same or varied on same metal sheet. Starting from less than .100” up to many inches.
  • Tapped holes are also available, starting from 2-56.
  • Sheet “x” and “y” dimensions can also be varied within the product.
  • Single piece and production capabilities.

Turning

Along with our CNC punching, Vere also has on site a Autonumerics  Model LC-4 Precision Turning Center. The LC-4 is a versatile 4 1/2 hp turning center which contains:

  • 8-Station Rotating Turret
  • 3/4” Square or Round Shank Tooling,
  • 4” Cross-Slide Travel
  • 6.5” Longitudinal Slide Travel
  • Spindle Speeds up to 4000 RPM
  • 2-Axis CNC ,Linear and Circular Contouring
